For athletes

The work Sukhdev did for twenty years on golf tours, in F1 paddocks and with international cricket sides — now available in Singapore to anyone serious about their sport.

Golfer mid-swing during rotational mobility work for athletes
The premise

Your ceiling is usually a position you cannot reach

Athletes plateau for two reasons. Either they cannot produce force, or they cannot get into the position from which force should be produced. Strength coaches are very good at the first. The second is a mobility, breath and motor-control problem, and it is where Sukhdev has spent his career.

A golfer who has lost fifteen degrees of thoracic rotation does not need a better swing thought. A driver who cannot brace at 4G through a fifty-minute stint does not need more core work. A cricketer whose shoulder goes in the third spell has a rib cage problem, not a rotator cuff problem.

Sports

Where the work transfers most directly

Golf

Thoracic rotation, hip separation, spine-angle retention, and the breath control that stops the third round falling apart. The most requested work in Singapore.

Running & triathlon

Hip extension, ankle range, ribcage position and breathing economy. He raced this himself — the diagnosis comes from the inside.

Cricket

Shoulder durability through a long spell, thoracic mobility for the bowling action, and the recovery protocols that let a body back up on day three.

Motorsport

Neck and trunk endurance under sustained load, heat tolerance, and down-regulation between sessions. Formula 1 taught him this.

Racquet sports

Rotational capacity, shoulder health, lateral hip control and the deceleration mechanics that protect knees over a season.

Strength & CrossFit

Overhead position, hip and ankle depth, and breath under bracing — the three things that most often cap a lifter’s numbers.

Protocol

How an athlete engagement runs

  • Screen. Sport-specific movement assessment, filmed, with the ranges your sport actually demands measured against what you have.
  • Priorities. Two or three limiters, ranked. Not a list of twenty things.
  • Daily protocol. Ten to twenty minutes, non-negotiable, built to fit around existing training rather than compete with it.
  • Weekly session. Hands-on correction and progression, in-season; twice weekly out of season.
  • Recovery & breath. Down-regulation work for sleep and between-session recovery — usually the fastest win of the whole programme.
  • Re-screen at six weeks. Same tests, same camera angle. The numbers move or the programme changes.

FAQ

What athletes ask first

Will yoga make me less powerful?

No — that fear comes from confusing yoga with passive stretching. Passive stretching before an event does reduce power output. What Sukhdev coaches is active range, position and breath control under load, which is the opposite: it lets you produce force from positions you previously could not reach.

I am a golfer. What specifically changes?

Thoracic rotation, hip separation and the ability to keep the spine angle at the top. Most amateurs above forty have lost rotation in the mid-back and compensate by sliding or standing up out of the shot. Restoring it is usually worth both accuracy and distance.

Can you work alongside my existing coach or S&C team?

Yes, and that is how it has always worked on tour. He is not there to replace the swing coach, the physio or the strength coach — he is there to make sure the body can execute what they are asking for.

Do you travel to tournaments?

Yes, by arrangement, under the retainer. He has spent much of his career doing exactly this.

How often do athletes train with you?

Typically twice weekly in the off-season and once weekly in-season, plus a daily 10–20 minute protocol. Frequency matters more than session length.

What is your limiter?

Fifteen minutes on a call and he will usually name it. If it is a strength problem rather than a position problem, he will tell you that too.
